I recently came across a website that aims to help travelers do all of the above things conveniently and safely. This website is known as WithLocals.com. WithLocals aims to connect people all over the world through food and experiences by providing a marketplace where locals could offer their time, effort and also their skills and passion in cooking authentic local dishes.

If you are a traveler, you can register an account here and start searching for your preferred experience right after registration.

If you’re thinking of hosting travelers, register an account here and provide details on what you offer and set your price. It’s very important that you give full details so your guests would know what to expect. After you register an account, you’ll be contacted by WithLocals’s representatives to visit your place and take pictures and give you more information about your WithLocals account.

Choosing Your Preferred Experience

After logging in to your account, the next step is to choose your destinations. As of now, WithLocals is only available in Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Indonesia, Nepal and Malaysia. Your choices for tours include dining with locals of course (which is one of the most popular), learning how to cook local dishes and some sightseeing tours.
