Meet the Nomads: Anthony Zupancic
Their adventures seem to be a real fun and inspiring. As stated in their blog, "We will be buying motorcycles and cruising Asia until the US Economy rebounds enough to rationalize a return home to job searching."

Here's Flip's short interview with Anthony.
How did you discover your passion for travelling?
"I discovered travelling junior year of college, while studying in Spain"
What’s the most horrible experience that you’ve had on the road?
"I have had very good luck so far with my travelling. Plus, in my experience, set backs and problems often turn out to be fond and memorable experiences later. But, I have had to sleep in some odd places and a night in Munich October 2009 nearly killed me. Like a 'pro traveller' I packed very lightly and wasn't worried about having a place to stay. As a result I was left outside in below zero weather with very little to keep warm with. Not a fun night."
What’s the most outstanding travel experience that you’ve ever had?
"2009 Oktober fest in Munich is one of the reasons I fell in love with travelling. Leave it to a beer festival and the Bavarians to highlight the goodwill and cultural beauty that you experience when travelling."
What’s the biggest realization that you’ve got out of travelling?
"That there is a balance in life between looking forward/planning/moving and enjoying the moment and life. To travel successfully, you have to be able to do both simultaniously."
What keeps you going? What keeps you motivated?
"It's still fun. When it's more hassle than fun, it's time to go home. Some people have a bucket list of locations and are rushing to knock them off. I try not to worry about that. I do want to see the world and experience different cultures, but it's not my job or life calling. This is that balance between looking ahead to your next place and enjoying where you are at that moment."
This is a silly and hypothetical one. If you would be given a chance to travel with a popular person or a celebrity, who would it be and why?
"No question, Anthony Bourdain. We share a name, a common love of food and drink, of the written word, and of cynicism and sarcasm. Plus, I would love his resources- the fixers and funds and such. If I could choose someone from the dead, Ernest Hemingway gets the nod."
What could stop you from travelling?
"Family. I am willing to miss some things, but it would be sad to forget where I come from and who I am."
Among the places that you’ve been to, which one fascinated you the most?
"I tell people that my favorite destination was San Sebastian in Spain. But I would say the most fascinating was Florence. I was there for two months and there is still a renaissance atmosphere to the place. Plus, there is an endless amount of history to observe and learn about while there."
What's the best travel advice that you could give a novice traveler?
"You can't do everything and you can't do anything 'right'. Those seem to be two things people are very worried about."
What do you think about yourself?
"I think I am very easily distracted."

"An 'adventure chronicle.' Stories, tips, and media from South East Asia." - Anthony
