Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park or easily known as Darjeeling Zoo is famous for it’s conservation efforts and breeding programs of Himalayan animals. The zoo is said to have bred successfully Red Pandas, Snow Leopards and other Himalayas native animals in the past.
Darjeeling Zoo is probably just less than 20 minute walk from the main square (downhill) or you could take a short taxi ride if you don’t want to walk.
