I was ecstatic when I received an email from Roomorama asking me to try their online accommodation booking service. Roomorama is one of the newest online booking engine facility that gives you access to various accommodation options including apartments which you wouldn’t easily find in other online booking websites.
I immediately scoured their site, registered and looked for a place to stay in Bharatpur.
Bharatpur is a small town in Rajasthan, India which is known for it’s bird sanctuary known as Keoladeo National Park (formerly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary which is also a recognized UNESCO World Heritage Site. Having been to a national park in India in the past couple of months, I was so excited to visit another one and luckily, Roomorama has a partner accommodation in Bharatpur.
I immediately checked their website and found an accommodation which is just 20 minutes (walk) away from the park and sent an inquiry right away. In just a few minutes, I received a response from the owner confirming the availability (I was lucky that he was online at the time I sent an inquiry).
They arranged to pick us up from Bharatpur train station which made it more convenient for us.
Upon arrival, we were ushered to our room and we were surprised to see how spacious and large it is.
Here are some pictures of the room:

It would probably the largest and most comfortable room that I’ve stayed in. It felt like I was just back home since it has a lot of facilities that made the stay very comfortable.
The room is airconditioned, with huge windows, cable tv, fridge, a small living room (where I spent some time working on my websites) and a spacious bathroom and the most important thing of all (for the digital nomads), free wifi (yey!).
They also have a swimming pool, playground for kids and a very large open space with manicured lawns and some trees which attracts a lot of birds. It’s very common to see herons, egrets and parakeets (yes parakeets!) flying around.
They also have a restaurant and you have an option to have your food delivered to your room as well. Isn’t it very convenient for lazy folks like us! LOL!
The only downside in this place is the constant power failure that the whole town seems to be experiencing. Luckily, they have their own backup generator.
My first Roomorama experience was great and I’m looking forward to trying it again on my next trip.
How to Book through Roomorama
Booking is fairly easy. Here’s how:
1. Register and browse for the accommodation that you like

2. Send an inquiry to check for availability

3. Book, Pay and take note of the Payment Code

Note that, upon payment, you’ll be asked to electronically sign the booking to avoid fraud transaction on credit card.
A Few Tips
1. Send your inquiry ahead of time,it would be best if you send your inquiry weeks ahead.
2. If you want to save money, don’t book during peak season as prices tend to be higher.
3. If you want to cook your own meals, look for accommodations with kitchen. Roomorama.

Love the idea of using Roomarama in India. I would think comfort is such a big deal when traveling there and to know there won’t be surprises.
India is really something else and comfort (on a budget) is sometimes hard to find … glad there’s roomorama partners in some places
