There’s a variety of products that you can buy in Siem Reap. The “shopaholics” will definitely enjoy shopping here due to the low cost of goods and the variety of unique finds.
Here are some nice products of the products that I’ve seen in the markets:
Buddha Wood Carvings

Temple Guards Carvings

Angkor Inspired Paintings

Relics (Replicas or Authentic)

Krama (Cambodian Scarves)

(Bags, Purses, Wallets etc made of Recycled Materials)

Hammock

Spices

Tea

Designer Clothes, Bags, Accessories at Poetry (A Filipino owned boutique in SR)
There’re still multitudes of shopping options available here in Siem Reap. Another interesting thing that I found out is (Original) Apple Products seem to be cheaper here than in other places in Southeast Asia. Itouch is at $229 which is the same prices as in US.
You’ll also find a lot of bags, shoes and other leather goods made of crocodile skin. Crocodile farming seems to be an industry here in Cambodia. Our guide mentioned that a lot of families are raising crocodiles for export to other countries.
Gemstones seem to be also abundant here but I do not really know how to tell a fake from the real ones.
There’s a lot of books about Cambodian Literature but be careful of fake books, some are badly photocopied and almost unreadable.
Enjoy shopping in Siem Reap.

Nice memories. I couldn’t buy much in Siem Reap as I was backpacking on to Vietnam. Definitely going to pop back over and shop though.
great place to buy scarves for my officemates! it can go as cheap as a dollar fifty per scarf!

i agree… definitely cheaper…
Those gems used to sell for US$5 a handful. Loose stones. Till they realized there’s more money to be had by settting them and selling as a set–paired earrings + ring+ pendant, etc. In 2010! I spent us$60 for 8 sets! Ladies, they also have nice silk dresses that are cheaper than in Thailand.
Wow!!! That’s really a good deal Tita Lili
I bought way too many t-shirts in Siem Reap.
I remember what I bought in Siem Reap. I got a hand carved sandstone wall-hanging of the Bayon faces. I still have it hanging on my wall in fact.
