The Water Adventure of a Lifetime

With all the talk of rain and cold, the United Kingdom might not be in the forefront of your mind when you start planning a water park adventure for your family, but it is definite the place to be. Once you arrive and pick up your vehicle at Heathrow Airport Parking and head out for white water rafting.

Lee Valley Regional Park in Hertfordshire just a short drive from London is the perfect place to spend a day, relaxing on a leisurely stroll along with river, or you could rent a canoe and try out the white water rapids. These were recently used for the Olympic Slalom test events, so they are definitely not for the faint of heart. You don’t have to worry about bringing anything with you. You’ll be fitted with all the necessary equipment including a wetsuit, helmet and boots. The instructors will teach you how to navigate through the rapids and you’ll spend a good half a day out on the water.

If a slightly more relaxed adventure is what you have in mind, try Stubbers Adventure Centre in Essex where you can spend an entire day on the water kayaking or sailing. There are Jet Skis that can be rented as well. Wobbly Boarding is game that is used to teach the balancing skills needed for windsurfing, and is loads of fun. Once you’ve had time to drive off, it’s a quick stop at Gatwick Airport Parking to leave your vehicle and then a short plane ride to Cardiff for another wild adventure at LC Waterpark. LC Waterpark has pools along with rides and a boardrider that is not to be missed. There is also a special play area just for younger visitors. And for the more adventurous there is a climbing wall that is not for the faint of heart.

Then it’s of to Gatwick Airport Parking with your car, hop on a plane to Glasgow for yet another water park. Landmark Forest Adventure Park is filled with all sorts of attractions. From their Wild Watercoast, to the Skydive Parachute jump to the Forrest Maze, there is something for everyone. Be sure to stop off at the Pinewood grill for a bite to eat before heading back to Glasgow Airport Parking
