It was a perfect coincidence when I saw a small article in Smile Magazine about Cherry Blossoms and the alternative places to see them in Asia (aside from Japan). And luckily enough, there’s one park in Beijing where you could see a lot of them… it’s Yuyuantan Park.

Yuyuantan Park or Jade Lake Park is home to a few thousands (3000 accdg to some write ups) Cherry Blossoms tree and the best time to go here is mid to late April.
We went there last April 27 however most of the blossoms have fallen off the tree already. Although there were still a few that we saw in the park.

The park entrance fee cost only 10 Yuan per person and you can get here by alighting at the Military Museum subway station. Ask around and the locals are helpful enough to point the direction of the park.

It’s a nice place to relax after a few days of constant sighseeing in Beijing.

Interesting coz there is a cherry blossom tree at my relative’s place in Ligao. One of our relatives from Manila didn’t really believe us when we told her we have one nearby, until she saw it herself last month during a family reunion.
