Beaches

For many tourists, it is the white beaches that entice them back to Surfers Paradise year after year. With over 43 miles of sandy coastline, long walks on the beach and privacy while sunbathing are easy. Or just sit back and watch the waves from the boardwalk or the deck of your favorite bar. If you want to spend your vacation relaxing on the beach, you will find many opportunities to do so in Surfers Paradise.

Family Fun

Surfers Paradise offers families different activities to participate in together during the day. Spend an afternoon at the marina watching the ships or play a game of mini golf. There are many family themed restaurants to try as well. Many families enjoy spending time together on the beach – whether it’s building a sandcastle or trying to capture that next wave, children of all ages will want to spend a day or two on the beach.

And then there are also the four theme parks in the area that can provide hours of entertainment. Wet and Wild Water Park, Movieworld, SeaWorld, and Dreamworld. Each have different rides, entertainment and exhibits for children and adults alike. Passes with unlimited entry to three parks are available from myfun.com.au.

Surfers Paradise Nightlife

Surfers Paradise attracts Australians and tourists from all over the world, and there are plenty of nighttime activities to participate in. Along the beach are restaurants, bars, nightclubs and resort hotels that sponsor nightly activities.

For those who enjoy meeting new people and staying up late, Surfers Paradise has much to offer. Many vacationers spend their days surfing and their nights hopping from one bar to the next. An alternative to spending the evening dancing and drinking are the movie theaters, night tours and other activities.

Things to See and Do

Outdoor activities are numerous in Surfers Paradise. Activities include jet skiing, fishing, golfing and motorcycle tours. And if you’re looking for a little more excitement on your next vacation, there is always bungee jumping or surf lessons. Tourists traveling to Australia from overseas may want travel insurance.

Day tours, safaris, and whale watching are other outdoor activities that aren’t as extreme as those mentioned above. Popular places to visit include Currumbin Bird Sanctuary, The Natural Arch, Purlingbrook Falls, and Springbrook Falls.

In addition to extreme sports and outdoor activities are traditional activities such as sightseeing, shopping and visits to local museums. Art galleries are very popular and feature works from local and international artists.

Great Post. Surfers Paradise is highly recommended for the younger set looking for life in the fast lane, plenty of bars etc. However, the mid Gold Coast area around Burleigh Heads might be better for a family holiday, while the Southern Gold Coast, around Coolangatta, is even more relaxed. As a Gold Coaster, I can tell you I wouldn’t live anywhere else!
