I went to Cash & Carry yesterday to buy some pet food and strolled afterwards. I am very fond of visiting novelty stores everytime I go to the mall. And to my surprise, I found three items in American Bazaar that I think would be useful for every backpackers. And it only cost me P66 each.
Medicine Kit
For P66 you get a plastic box with a green cross label on it, a pair of scissors, four large plasters, three small plasters, one bandage roll, three non adhesive sterile pads, one roll of surgical tape and six safety pins. This box would also fit a small Betadine bottle and a few more first aid meds.
Arm/Leg Security Pouch
If you’re not fond of money belt, then this might be the next best option for you. It’s made of waterproof nylon and has two zippered pockets. I tried strapping this pouch on my leg and it felt too tight and uncomfortable but it fits perfectly on my arm
WaterProof Pouch
I haven’t tried it yet but I think it’ll be very useful in protecting your passports/money, small digicam, celphone or other small electronics from water damage. And for only P66 I think it’s a great deal. It has triple zip lock to make sure that water won’t permeate the pouch.

I have a medicine kit similar to that one. I accidentally took it on the plane with me while flying and airport security had me open it and take out the scissors. I had to throw them away. Oh well, I can always get a new pair.
